My friend has a 700WX which he used on the Sprint network. I want to buy it from him and register it on Verizons network. If I log on to Verizons website, I see a place where I can activate a new ESN. If I activate the 700wx on Verizons site, will it work? Currently CDMA phones (Sprint %26amp; Verizon) are hard programmed to work only for their carriers.
Earlier this year both Sprint and Verizon announced that in 2008 they will allow phones from other carriers to work on their system. But they didn't announce what quarter. So for now you have to wait :(.
