I have heard that Trinity United Church of Christ had changed their website when the story heated up. I don't know this for sure because i have never been to the website nor would i go to a hateful church's website ever. They obviously needed to pitch in and help Obama with damage control I guess ...Why would a church change anything they believe or teach for any presidental candidate. I cannot imagine belonging to any church where the leaders might tell me there will be changes in an effort to help a politician win a position in office and if Obama's church did that them they should not be tax expempt.i saw it 2 months ago. did not study it that well, but it seems essentially the same to me. i have also heard they took out some content. however, the black seperatist overtones are still very clear.Damage control. To make the Church more palpable to all others, so we wouldn't view Obama as purely afrocentric. But it really doesn't work, as thier agenda is still plain to see from the website.To get rid of the racist language. I went to the site many times, I could not believe why so many people blindly voted for Obama. While he claimed to be a Christian, there is not much Christian about his church-they openly support and praise Louis Farrakhan, are totally devoted to the nation of Africa, and are unashamedly 100% black. All of that has been removed. They are into major damage control. It was obvious from their website that this church was a front for anti-American and anti-white activities. They claim to be Christians and use the Bible, but--- they look like and act like Black Muslims.It's been changed several times. First, to put on some %26quot;explanations%26quot; given by a white parishioner. Then to really sanitize it and put many more pictures of whites and take out some of the more extreme liberation theology teachings and the links to Farrahkan.
It never hurts to go to website like this for research. It is much better to see for yourself than to listen to another person's interpretation of it. People often try to mislead others for political or other reasons.
Someone could tell you that there is nothing offensive there but you might be personally very offended. Or the opposite might be true and someone could have led you to believe that it was a %26quot;hateful church,%26quot; but when you looked at it yourself, you didn't find it to be so bad.
It should make you wonder however why the church changed their website if they were comfortable with what they believed and what their church stood for. After all, they've been going every Sunday, haven't they?
