How do publish a change on a website done on Front Page?

A guy did my website on Front Page about a year ago. I made a few changes and saved them but I don't see the changes on the website. Do I need to publish it after I save it, so that it can be viewed from the internet? How do you publish after a change? ThanksHow do publish a change on a website done on Front Page?Let me help you. But first you need to know the answers of these:

1. Are you connected to internet?

2. Are you familiar/friendly with Microsoft Front Page?

3. Do you know the concept of Offline and Online?

You have to know those! If so go to line below.

Firstly, in sophisticated web editor (WYSIWYG Editor) like Macromedia Dreamweaver, you are faced with the option of publishing the site automatically or manually. When you publish your site manually , you have to upload entire folder that carry your html files to the web hosting.

Answering your question will make me make a tutorial that fit to be place on a website.

Lets make this quick!

1. You have to know where you save all your files. You probably save your files to a folder called %26quot;mysite%26quot;. And what you're editing are files inside that folder.

After changing those files, see it, I mean, view it by double clicking the file. Suppose changed file is index.html, double click it and a browser window will open up and viewing your changed file. Use this method to confirm your changes and make sure you have done correctly.

2. Then open a file explorer, point to your folder. Compress that folder.

Example: your folder that contain the files is in %26quot;d:\mysite%26quot;. Use right click in that folder and find menu that can make that folder compressed. If you use Microsoft Windows OS, choose %26quot;send to%26quot; %26gt; %26quot;compressed zipped folder%26quot; . Then you will have a file called %26quot;mysite.zip%26quot;(or file that the type is zipped files or has icon zip file)

--Publishing --

From here, you must have ability to access your hosting site administration page, your site administration page.

3. Upload it by logging in to your site administration page!

4. Find a way to unzip %26quot;mysite.zip%26quot;

This quite complex. I told this to a 50 years old man and he can't follow me. hope you can.

5. Access the newly changed site by pointing to www.%26lt;yoursitehosting%26gt;.com/mysite. Where %26lt;yourhosting%26gt; sould be replaced with address of your hosting site. Such as www.geocities.com.

I can't make this short, I recommend you find another reference or your online site manual.

Good Luck!
